A color claim makes it clearwhat rights are claimed when you apply for registration of a mark. Your trademark registration will protect you against infringing use by an identical orsimilar mark. In certain circumstances, a color claim may help you to show thatan infringing mark is similar and that your mark has been infringed.
If you make a color claim in your application, you need to state the particular color(s) in theapplication and show the color(s) in the representation of your mark. The client shall make sure that therepresentation is of a sufficiently high resolution that it clearly shows the color(s).
